Centennial Park – Sydney
Blending in with the horse riders, cyclists and pram-pushers at Centennial Park is literally, a walk in the park ( funny that). Unfortunately it ends swiftly for some of us, as we become flapping, squealing maniacs trying to avoid the birds. And trust me, they are dangerously abundant. Pelicans, swans, ducks, pigeons, and numerous other breeds of beaked creature flock to the ponds and grasslands to enjoy the generosity of ‘bread throwers’ – those nature-loving souls happy to block up the flying population with a loaf of TIP TOP. Luckily, there are the odd moments of peace, as illustrated above, where we bird-a-phobics can breathe in the serenity without fear of losing an eye.
