Plug it in
tune me up,
fill my cup.
and constant pal,
Be not far
from my locale.
My needs are simple
yours are too,
I need the loo.
At that moment
we are unplugged,
Tho fear not
Don’t be bugged.
I’ll be back
refreshed and new,
to embrace the gifts
I so love in you.
THIS WEEK, SHOW US A PHOTO THAT SAYS “GOOD MORNING!”
Ta Da!! I’m sure I won’t be the only person who thinks coffee when they think good morning. I have a ritual that involves a trip to my local shop where, with great ceremony, I purchase a latte and then take three hours to drink it. Sometimes I don’t even enjoy it, especially when bitterly cold but it has to be done – every morning, rain, hail or shine.
P.S you will notice I have upsized my photos. How clever I think to myself. Thankyou to the poster who made me realise it was possible.
How do you pick what blogs or books to read? What’s the one thing that will get you to pick up a book or click on a link every single time? Photographers, artists, poets: show us CHOICES.
There is nothing more delightful than the sights, sounds and smells of a real bookshop. Not the virtual type, but one with hard copy reading material, crisp and new. I still remember the smell of library books from my childhood and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. In both these reading institutions, the choices are endless and lined up neatly in rows. This appeals to my OCD tendencies too, so its win-win really.
This week, show us a photo of whatever you’d like, but make sure it’s saturated. It can be black and white, a single color, a few hues, or a complete rainbow riot; just make sure it’s rich and powerful. Let’s turn the comments into an instant mood-booster!
Trust nature (and a little crafty filtering) to produce the best colour display imaginable. What a spectacular painting right before our eyes.
South Steyne Manly
There is no greater pleasure than enjoying the final whispers of a beautiful day, by the ocean. The more you find yourself there, you notice all the other clever people who realised this before you did. Here at Manly, the days travels are etched into the sand like a storybook. I wonder what tales they have to tell…
This celebration is in honour of Spring. It’s one of my favourite seasons and I love it most, when plants you thought had bitten the dust long ago, perk up and deliver beauty like this. A wind storm blew off its spritely counterparts earlier in the week but these babies are still bringing joy to my front porch. I hereby celebrate nature’s Spring offerings.
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO (OR GALLERY) OF SHAPES, LINES, TEXTURES, OR PATTERNS.’
It’s been a while my friends but I’m back with a vengeance. Unfortunately, my walking photographic adventure has come to a standstill but in the meantime, here is my contribution to this weeks challenge. These are all from the archives but very apt for the project. Or so I thought anyway…
There I was. Me, ‘Hoppo’ and some other Bondi Rescue favourite (whose name escapes me: Natho? Bretto?) watching a very fit bikini’d lass do Capoeira on the beach. I of course, was watching her skill. They? not so much.
I had forgotten the greatness that is a quick visit to Bondi…. and a return trip home.
